On this episode of Daily VICE, we meet up with Frederick Hutson, an ex-con and the founder of the Pigeonly app. His startup allows inmates to send and receive photos from their families and stay connected to the outside world. Before Frederick was incarcerated he served in the U.S. airforce and was honorably discharged in 2005 after the base began downsizing, and eventually turned his business efforts to sending marijuana through the parcel companies.
